About Rutgers:

Rutgers has lost six of heir last eight games after falling 77-65 at home against SMU 77-65 on Friday, in a game that (like Louisville's) was postponed because of bad weather in the Northeast. The Scarlet Knights, 1-7 on the road, have lost 11 in a row to ranked opponents, including three this season by an average of 17.0 points.

Myles Mack, who had a team-high 17 points Friday, leads Rutgers with 15.8 per contest. He hasn't been as effective on the road, however, averaging 11.8 points on 13-of-42 (31.0 percent) shooting over the past four away contests. The junior guard had 19 points against Louisville on Jan. 4, while freshman Craig Brown added a season-high 17 off the bench. Brown is averaging just 3.9 points on 34.1 percent shooting in 10 games since.

Kadeem Jack is theScarlet Knights' top rebounder, averaging 6.9 rebounds and 14.4 points with 33 blocked shots on the season.

--Louisville has won 31 straight games against unranked opponents, the longest streak in program history.

--The Scarlet Knights are 1-12 all-time against defending national champions, including a loss to U of L earlier this season. RU defeated No. 8-ranked UConn, 67-60, at the RAC on Jan. 7, 2012 for their lone win over a defending title holder.

--Rutgers' last road victory over a ranked foe was a 77-64 win at Pitt on Jan. 26, 2008.

--Louisville is third in the nation in turnover margin (+6.6) and is 30th in fewest turnovers per game (10.4). U of L has committed 10 or fewer turnovers in 16 of its last 27 games dating back to last year. The Cardinals are generating an average of 21.9 points per game off turnovers.

--Montrezl Harrell is two dunks away from breaking Louisville's single-season dunks record.

--Louisville is one of five Division-I programs with at least 20 wins in each of the past 12 seasons.

--Rutgers is just 1-7 in true road games this season.

--The Cardinals have been favored to win every game they've played this season. The last time Louisville was not favored to win a game was at Syracuse on March 2, 2013. U of L won that game.

--Louisville's 20-4 start is tied with the 2004-05 Cardinals for the best start in a season during the Rick Pitino era. The 2012-13 national championship team was 19-5 after 24 games last season, but did not lose again.

--None of us are shaving until the Cards lose again.

--Louisville is the defending Division-I national champion.

Ken Pomeroy Prediction: Louisville 88, Rutgers 65
