Louisville had every excuse possible to take a loss at Boston College Saturday night. The Cards had their best defensive player out with injury, their leading receiver suspended, and were just one game removed from a heartbreaking loss in a game they'd invested an extreme amount of time and effort into.
Instead of using any of those facts as an excuse, U of L manned up and rolled to a 38-19 win at Boston College in a game they were only favored to win by three points. The win assured the Cards of a 5-3 record in their first season as a member of the ACC.
DeVante Parker became Louisville's leading receiver this season after playing just 10 quarters, Gerod Holliman needs just two interceptions to break a single season NCAA record that has stood since before Armstrong landed on the moon, and Reggie Bonnafon answered the bell in a way I'm not sure any one of us would have predicted before the game.
Tonight was an extremely impressive statement by this program. Sound off about it all in the comments.
