Not a whole lot here, as the media hit Petrino with only three questions this morning before letting him go.
Opening Statement
We're coming off a good win at Notre Dame where I was very proud of our players and assistant coaches and the jobs they did. We're excited about the game coming up against Kentucky. It's a rivalry game and it's also senior day for a group of players who have won a lot of games and done a great deal for our program.
On Louisville's first year in the ACC
I thought we had some great battles. It's a competitive conference, and we told our players going into the season that all these teams have great players and that a lot of these games were going to come down to the 4th quarter. We won some of those games and unfortunately we lost some of those games in the 4th quarter. But it was a good first year and it gives us a really great gauge of what we need to do in recruiting.
On Kentucky coming into Saturday playing for bowl eligibility
All we're concerned about is ourselves. We need to go out and have a great week of practice and really focus and do a great job preparing and go out what do what we need to do.
On Kentucky in general
They're a good football team. They have a quarterback who can throw and run, receivers who can make some plays down the field, and a defensive front that can bring a lot of pressure. We know that this is going to be a great challenge for us.
