Rick Pitino will likely have strong thoughts about this, but his Louisville team has opened up as an 8.5-point favorite over his son's Minnesota squad for tomorrow night's season-opener for both teams.
Louisville has now been the favorite in its last 49 games, a remarkable streak which dates back to March 2, 2013. The Cardinals were underdogs at No. 12 Syracuse on that day, but pulled out 58-53 win thanks in large part to a Luke Hancock 3-pointer in the game's final minute.
The 8.5-point line for tomorrow has not moved in the hour or so since it was first released.
