Bobby Petrino said during his introductory press conference on Thursday that he was "emotionally" and "contractually" tied to finishing his coaching career at Louisville.
While there's no way to know if the emotional claim is true, we do know a little bit more about the contractual side.
Petrino's new deal will pay him $3.5 million per year over seven years, so $24.5 million total. His buyout for the first four years of that deal will be $10 million, after which time it will go down.
Athletic director Tom Jurich also noted that the contract will contain morality clauses, although he did not go into any detail as far as what they will include.
