Anticipating the possibility of Bobby Petrino leaving for Louisville, Western Kentucky athletics director Todd Stewart met with current Hilltopper offensive coordinator and former U of L quarterback/coach Jeff Brohm on Tuesday. This according to a report by Dan Wolken of USA Today.

Western Kentucky offensive coordinator Jeff Brohm met with athletics director Todd Stewart on Tuesday, according to a person with direct knowledge of the meeting, in case head coach Bobby Petrino leaves for Louisville.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation.

The meeting with Brohm indicates that Western Kentucky is making contingency plans to replace Petrino, who coached at Louisville from 2003-2006.

While rumors of Petrino interviewing at Louisville on Tuesday have swirled in recent hours, Western Kentucky officials have yet to offer any comment.

The other major news to report is that according to both Eric Crawford and Jody Demling, there is now a U of L athletics board meeting scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. Still ample time for plenty more drama.
