Louisville point guard Chris Jones will be in uniform for the first time in nearly three weeks when Louisville hosts Cincinnati on Thursday, but he won't be back in the starting lineup.
Rick Pitino said the junior, who suffered an oblique injury during U of L's win over SMU on Jan. 12, is "100 percent," but won't reassume his starting role just yet.
"He's 100 percent and he's practicing well," Pitino said during his pregame address on Wednesday. "He won't start, but only because we don't usually start guys coming off of injuries."
Freshman Terry Rozier will make his fourth straight start at point guard, where he's helped lead Louisville to wins over Houston, Connecticut and South Florida in Jones' absence. In those three games, Rozier has produced 23 points, 14 assists, 12 rebounds and turned the ball over just twice.
Jones was averaging 11.3 points and 2.9 assists before his injury.
