Louisville 44, EKU 7: Cards Over Colonels

Louisville takes care of business in a game that nobody but U of L fans watched on ESPN3

Sandwiching an FCS team between the season opener and the UK game was a recipe for vanilla football and it showed at times on the field today. The offensive line will have plenty of film to digest regarding the run game, the kick return coverage unit shows little to no signs of improvement from last season and the short kickoffs were...short. In games like these, you do wonder if the team came out a little flat or if the game plan and aggression was intentionally dialed down. Maybe a little of both this afternoon.

Accentuating the positive, Teddy had complete control of the offense, avoided making turnovers and racked up four more passing touchdowns. He's now thrown 9 touchdowns vice 14 incompletions in two games. Straight Ca5h Homey. And on defense, James Burgess was again flying all over the field, Calvin [Expletive] Pryor forced a fumble and snatched an interception and Preston Brown had two sacks.

If you don't mind, we'll give our fictional game ball to John Wallace, who scored twice as many points as EKU (14-7). Good job, son.

Also, it's important to remember that nobody but us actually watched this game on ESPN3, so the final score will be all anyone else will care about and 44-7 is pretty much what was expected.
