JaQuan Lyle Has Decommitted From Louisville

USA TODAY Sports

As Louisville fans prepare for a rivalry showdown with Kentucky on the gridiron tomorrow, it's been an extremely bizarre night for the Cards in the more often than not extremely bizarre world of basketball recruiting.

First, there was a story from Yahoo's Pat Forde claiming that five-star guard JaQuan Lyle had decommitted from Louisville. That story, for whatever reason, was quickly removed. Shortly thereafter, Scout.com's Evan Daniels tweeted that he had received a text from Lyle stating that he was still committed to U of L "at this time."

Then...

Lyle joins friend and Ballard star Quentin Snider as highly-touted 2014 guards who have decommitted from Louisville in the last two months. Lyle, who will play his senior season at Huntington Prep, became the second-highest ranked recruit to commit to Rick Pitino at U of L when he announced he would be playing his college ball for the Cardinals back on June 26.

The show goes on. Best of luck to JaQuan in wherever he chooses to go.
