Florida Defensive End Picks Louisville

3-Star defensive end Rashawn Shaw decided to commit to the Cards after visiting this past weekend.

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Rashawn Shaw became the 17th member of UofL's 2014 football recruiting class this morning. Shaw is the 28th ranked defensive end according to the 247 composite. He passed on offers from 28 schools including Tennessee, LSU, Michigan State, and Arkansas to play for the Cards next year.

Shaw is a pass rushing end in the mold of a Lorenzo Mauldin or Marcus Smith. He plays with a very high motor and really pursues the ball relentlessly. Being blessed with great athleticism will only get you so far as a defensive lineman. Playing hard every down and chasing plays that go away from you is something you have to do at this level of football. Shaw has the size and ability to see the field early in his career also.

4-Star defensive end Sharieff Rhaheed accompanied his teammate on a visit this past weekend. Rhaheed is a LSU commit, but as we all know, kids change their minds quickly in the recruiting process. These guys aren't a package deal, but with so much time left in the recruiting process things could obviously change down the road.
