Louisville's 2014 Recruiting Class Currently Ranked In The Top 10 Nationally

Streeter Lecka

We're still in the early stages of the recruiting cycle for the 2014 class, but it'd be hard for Charlie Strong and his staff to be off to a hotter start.

Fresh off a Sugar Bowl win over Florida and on the verge of a move to the ACC, Strong and company have already signed nine quality players for their 2014 class. The group of athletes have Louisville in the top ten of multiple early recruiting rankings, uncharted territory for the U of L program.

Rivals has the Cards sitting at No. 10 in its current rankings. The two programs directly behind Louisville are perennial powerhouse Michigan and 2014 opponent Notre Dame.

It just feels good to look at that.

The news is even better over at 247 Sports, where Louisville ranks ninth. The only other non-SEC programs in the top 10? No. 1 Texas, No. 6 Florida State, No. 8 Ohio State and No. 10 Miami.

Not bad company.

"Get on board or get out of the way" is proving to be even more prophetic than any of us could have imagined at the time.
