Future Cards Show Skills At Derby Classic

Their White team may have lost the actual game, but the quartet of Louisville commitments playing in Friday night's Derby Classic still found a way to impress the crowd.

First there was the three-point competition at halftime, in which future Cardinal walk-ons David Levitch and Dillon Avare made it to the finals. Ultimately it was Avare, the Lexington Catholic product, who prevailed.

Next came the Slam Dunk Contest, which was also won by a future Card: Hargrave Military's Anton Gill.

The only U of L commit not to receive an individual award was Akoy Agau, who finished the game with just two points on 1-of-4 shooting. Gill netted 13, while Levitch and Avare did not score.

Indiana commit Troy Williams was named MVP of the event after scoring a game-high 21 points.
