Teddy Bridgewater Is Your 2013 Card Chronicle Person Of The Year

Congratulations to Teddy Bridgewater on becoming the first Louisville football player to be named Card Chronicle's Person of the Year. He earned the honor over worthy finalists Rick Pitino, Peyton Siva and Gorgui Dieng by garnering a convincing 50 percent of the vote.

It was a remarkable year for Teddy, who began 2013 by being named the Most Valuable Player of the Sugar Bowl, and ended it by being named the Most Valuable Player of the Russell Athletic Bowl. I have a feeling his 2014 is going to be pretty eventful as well.

Bridgewater joins this group of the elitist of the elite in the Derby CIty:

2007 - Tom Jurich
2008 - David Padgett
2009 - Vacant (Art Carmody claims it's his)
2010 - Charlie Strong
2011 - Preston Knowles/Charlie Strong
2012 - Tom Jurich
2013 - Teddy Bridgewater

We need an actual plaque or something.

Congrats to Teddy on what I'm sure is the most cherished honor he'll ever receive.
