Kevin Ware's Latest Injury Not Considered Serious

The Louisville basketball team attended last night's game between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers, and as a result a number of photographs showing Kevin Ware on crutches began to make their way around the Internet.

The similarity between those images and the ones we saw last April were a bit frightening, but according to the C-J's Jeff Greer, the injury isn't anything serious.

Kevin Ware is wearing a walking boot and using crutches during the University of Louisville basketball team's trip to Miami to play Florida International, but the injury isn't considered serious.

Ware told U of L coaches that he was kicked in the right shin during the Cards' Tuesday night win over Missouri State. He ran with a significant limp and was "really sore" when the team left for its road trip on Wednesday.

Initial X-rays didn't reveal any serious injury, according to team spokesman Kenny Klein.

Even if the injury isn't anything serious, it's still hard to envision Ware taking the court against Florida International on Saturday.
