Louisville Lands Top-Rated JUCO Prospect

Trevon Young, the top-rated junior college defensive end in the country, picked Louisville over Ole Miss Monday evening. News of the commitment was first reported by Mike Hughes of InsideTheVille.com.

A native of Des Moines, the 6'4, 235-pound Young originally committed to Iowa during his senior year of high school, but had his scholarship pulled following a couple of off-the-field incidents. He wound up at Iowa Western Community College, where he earned second team NJCAA All-American honors after a 2013 season in which he produced 44 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and a staggering 13.5 sacks.

Young took his official visit to U of L last weekend, and apparently decided that it was the place he wanted to play his college football. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
