According to Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun, Florida offensive lineman Ian Silberman will be transferring to Louisville, where he will be eligible to play in the 2014 season.
Silberman has started seven games for the Gators over the past two seasons, inducing the last four of this season. He is set to graduate from UF before enrolling at U of L, which is why he will be eligible immediately.
U of L has neither confirmed nor denied the addition of Silberman.
The other big news according to Andreu is that Florida quarterback Tyler Murphy had interest in transferring to Louisville and Boston College (not at the same time), but that UF blocked both of those options. That report has been vehemently denied by Florida folks.
Regardless of the validity of the Murphy news, the major story here - if accurate - is that Louisville is adding a big body to its offensive line, a unit which is likely going to be the center of much discussion during the offseason.
