Time, Television Set For Louisville-Houston Football Game

Andy Lyons

Louisville football fans are finally getting their long sought-after Saturday night home game.

The American Athletic Conference announced Monday afternoon that the Nov. 16 game between U of L and Houston at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will kickoff at 7 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU.

Should the Cougars, who are 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play, upset Central Florida this weekend, the Nov. 16 game would have enormous BCS ramifications. If Louisville, Houston and UCF all finish AAC play with matching 7-1 records, then the team with highest BCS ranking (almost certainly U of L) will earn the league's automatic bid to a BCS bowl.

Louisville's senior day home game against Memphis on Nov. 23 is now the only U of L game without a scheduled kickoff time. The Cards will travel to face UConn this Friday at 8:30 p.m., and will finish the regular season with a 7:30 p.m. game at Cincinnati on Thursday, Dec. 5.
