Louisville's Home Games Against Rutgers And Central Florida Are Both Sold Out

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

U of L has announced that both this Thursday's home football game against Rutgers and next Friday's game against Central Florida are sold out.

Despite the criticism Louisville's schedule has faced, Cardinal fans have now sold out each of the first five home games of the season. U of L's first three games each produced one of the top 10 crowds in program history.

A total of 55,332 people watched the Cards defeat Ohio in the season-opener the second-largest crowd ever at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The games against Eastern Kentucky (No. 5) and Florida International (No. 10) also produced top 10 all-time attendances.

I would fully expect to see Thursday's game push the all-time mark of 55,386 set last year against Kentucky.

Louisville's last two home games of the season will be Saturday contests against Houston (Nov. 16) and Memphis (Nov. 23). Kickoff times for both of those games will be announced at a later date.
