Strong: If DeVante Parker Can Practice, He'll Play On Friday

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville scored a season-low 24 points in their win over Rutgers last Thursday, a total which many attribute at least partly to the absence of leading receiver DeVante Parker.

Parker, who went down with a right shoulder in the first half of Louisville's win over Temple two weeks ago, did not dress for the Rutgers game, but could be back in action as early as Friday night.

Here was head coach Charlie Strong's statement on Parker during his weekly press conference:

"DeVante's still day-to-day. We're going to make a game-day decision with him. He's doing well, he's progressing well. We're just going to see how it goes We're going to try and get him out one day at practice and see. If he can go out and practice well, then we're going to play him."
