Cards Fall To No. 5 In Both Polls

Joe Robbins

Louisville's stay at the No. 1 spot was short-lived thanks to its loss to Syracuse on Saturday, but that upset wasn't enough to knock the Cards out of the top five.

U of L dropped four spots in both polls, but had enough votes in both to beat out one-loss Arizona for the No. 5 spot.

Duke is your new, old No. 1, earning 39 No. 1 votes from the Associated Press and 20 from the coaches. Michigan earned the No. 2 spot from the AP, while Kansas and Syracuse tied for No. 3. Things were a little different on the coaches side of things, where the Jayhawks edged out Michigan and Syracuse for the runner-up slot.
