So Kentucky has returned more than 1/3 of its allotted tickets for the game. Hmm.
From the ticket office:
Single game tickets for the University of Louisville's opening football game against the University of Kentucky will go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. for Cardinal football season ticket holders only. UofL will face the Wildcats on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m. in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
The single-game tickets are from the 2,060 returned last week by Kentucky from their fan allotment of 5,500 for the game. They will be made available only to UofL football season ticket holders for $50 each ($46 single-game season ticket rate plus $4 handling fee), with a maximum of four tickets to purchase per account. Season ticket holders can buy the tickets by logging into their "My Cardinal Account," which can be accessed through the UofL web site at www.UofLsports.com (directly at this link: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/html/home.htmI?team=uofl). Please log in using your current My Cardinal Account. If you need your account number or password, please contact the Athletic Ticket Office at ticketoffice@louisville.edu or 502-852-5151. There is a 4 ticket and one transaction limit for this on sale.
Tickets may also be purchased by UofL football season ticket holders by visiting either of the two UofL ticket offices, located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium adjacent to Floyd Street or on the third floor of the Swain Student Activities Center. No phone orders will be accepted.
Season tickets also remain on sale online by creating a "My Cardinal Account," or by contacting the UofL athletic ticket office at 502-852-5151 or via email at ticketoffice@louisville.edu. Over 41,800 season tickets have been sold through Aug. 6.
