Louisville Finds Its Shot, Runs Past Marquette 84-71

And just like that, everything has changed.

Five days after scoring 49 points in a loss at Syracuse, the Louisville basketball team posted 50 against Marquette...in the first half. They followed that up with 34 more in the second 20 minutes to roll into the semifinals of the Big East Tournament with an 84-71 over the No. 9 team in the country.

So much to smile about:

--The New York SWOP Exchange

--Peyton Siva suddenly becoming the player everyone has been wanting him to be

--Infra-Russ

--Kyle doing dirty work and making senior plays

--THE GREATEST GIF THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN

--Quarterback Gorgui late in the game

--New York Rick

--And above all else....84 f'ing points

Even if Louisville puts up a dud against Notre Dame or South Florida tomorrow night, the team will still be able to head into the big dance with the peace of mind that comes with knowing they're capable of a performance like this (and so will we). That kind of confidence is invaluable come March. The team desperately needed a night like this, and to see it come to fruition is...well, you have no business in pants right now.

Let's go ahead and win this whole thing.

Oh, and Jae: now "it's over."
