This. All of this.
"The coaches are amazing and it just seemed like they are building something special," White told The Courier-Journal. "I was thinking about it the week before and then looked more into it and talked to the coaches.
"When I went to Illinois (on Sunday), I thought (Louisville) was for me."
White, a first-team All-State selection as a junior, is considered one of the top five prospects in the state of Kentucky among the Class of 2013. He is ranked as the No. 188 player nationally by 247 Sports in the '13 class.
"I know I have to get faster to be able to stay with receivers, just get al-around better," White said. "But it's big for me to know what I am going.
"I really didn't think a lot about Louisville my freshman and sophomore year. But I really liked what I saw last year with Louisville. I think they are on the rise and I wanted to be a part of that with their coaching staff. It's only going to get better."
"I am going to try and get James and Jason to come with me," White said with a smile. "I'll try to talk to them. I become a recruiter."
White became the third member of Charlie Strong's class of 2013 earlier today, joining Lexington Caholic quarterback Kyle Bolin and Fleming Island (Fla) safety Donel Elam, who quietly committed to the Cards over the weekend.
Me. Charlie Strong. An impromptu picnic by a parked car. A box of animal crackers. These are the things I am thinking about right now.
