New, comments

White, who is ranked as a top 200 overall player (#188) in the class by, had already received offers from Michigan, Arkansas, Illinois and Kentucky, among others.

Despite opponents consistently opting to throw away from him, White made 44 tackles (6.5 for a loss), had one interception and 12 pass breakups as a second-year starter for the USA Today national champions. He also returned 29 punts for 533 yards and three TDs, the longest 88 yards.

Coaches at Trinity and throughout the city of Louisville could not speak more highly of Ryan White, and getting him to commit before the start of his senior season is a major coup.

Charlie Strong stated during his wrap-up press conference for the class of 2012 that in order for Louisville to compete for national champions it has to keep landing some of the best players from all over the country, but it also has to start getting the top local players to stick around. With White and Lexington Catholic quarterback Kyle Bolin, he's off to an awfully impressive start.
