Louisville center Gorgui Dieng underwent successful surgery today at the Kleinert Kutz Hand Center. The junior had a screw inserted into his scaphoid bone he broke during the Cardinals' win over Missouri last Friday.
Dieng, who was averaging 8.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks at the time of his injury, is expected back on the court in 4-6 weeks.
I think Sling Gorgui (via Kenny Klein on Twitter) is even worse than Neck Brace Gorgui. I wasn't ready for this...not yet...not ever.
