Big East Media Names Peyton Siva Preseason Player Of The Year

Peyton Siva, Chane Behanan and Gorgui Dieng all received honors from the Big East media's annual preseason poll.

The Big East media, which earlier Tuesday unanimously selected Louisville as the preseason favorite in the Big East, has now named Peyton Siva as their choice for the league's preseason Player of the Year.

Siva received nine out of a possible 15 votes for the honor, while fellow Cardinal Chane Behnan was the runner-up choice with three votes. Georgetown's Otto Porter, Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick and Louisville's Gorgui Dieng all received one vote.

Despite the fact that they each received preseason POY votes, neither Behanan nor Dieng were named first team All-Big East. Both made appearances on the media's second team.
