Louisville football is upon us

Here's a sampling of the report from this morning's 6 a.m. practice:

  • The Louisville upperclassmen practiced for almost two hours working 20 periods in helmets and shorts. Most of the freshmen will practice for the first time in a closed session on Thursday evening.
  • Senior Terence Simien worked at safety in Thursday's opening practice. There was discussion in the preseason that the 6-3, 208-pound Simien could be a linebacker for the Cardinals.
  • Redshirt freshman wide receiver Michaelee Harris, who missed the 2010 season due to a knee injury, was healthy and made several nice catches on Thursday.
  • Freshman cornerback Charles Gaines, one of the newcomers who did practice on Thursday morning, had an interception.
  • Junior tight end Nate Nord missed Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury.
  • I WANT TO KNOW MORE. I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING.

    Football.
