You Can All Say You Were There

You may not have been around for the thrill of the first Kentucky Derby. You may not have inhaled your first breath when the University of Louisville created the College of Arts and Sciences in 1907. And you almost certainly weren't alive when the state of the art KFC Yum Center opened its doors in 2010.

But you know what? It's all OK. Because you're here for this.

You're on a ride. It's a train. It's a plane. It's a rollercoaster. You look to your left and Darrell Griffith's sitting next to you. He looks cool. A moment later you hear a voice. It sounds Bahamanian. It's the voice of Chicken Knowles. Jerry Smith walks by. He offers you a towel. You ask if he might have two more. Of course he does. Will Stein's there, too. He's happy. This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to you.

What am I talking about? I'm talking about Carmody's Cafe. It's coming.

What, exactly, is Carmody's Cafe? It's a little like winning the 2006 Orange Bowl, and a little bit more like cutting down the nets in '80 and '86. It handles pressure like Denny Crum and prepares for battle like Bobby Petrino. It dresses like Tom Jurich and D's up like Preston Knowles.

All you need to know right now is that you want in.

How do you do that? Click right here, enter your name, and reserve the right to tell everyone else you were here from the beginning (if that isn't enough, it takes two seconds and is one of the very few ways you can support this site).
