According to multiple sources, Louisville is one of the schools in the running to land current George Mason forward Luke Hancock.
Hancock received his release from the school following the departure of head coach Jim Larranaga earlier this month, but has repeatedly stated that he isn't completely sure he will leave the program. The 6-5 forward has said that 15-20 schools have inquired about his services, including Virginia and Virginia Tech.
As a sophomore, Hancock was second on the Patriots in scoring (10.9 ppg) and the team-leader in assists (4.3 apg). Perhaps his best (and definitely his most memorable) game of the season came when Mason knocked off Villanova in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and he scored 18 clutch points to go with five assists. Food poisoning kept him out of the team's season-ending loss to Ohio State two days later.
He's already got Gus' seal of approval.
