Kevin Ware, the 56th best player in the class of 2011 according to Rivals.com, has been granted a release from his signed letter of intent to play basketball at Tennessee.
This news is significant because Ware had been seriously considering Louisville before signing with the Vols, and is expected to again hear from Rick Pitino and company now that he is back on the market.
Ware, a two guard, is a tremendous athlete who averaged 19 points and nine assists as a senior at Rockdale County High School in Conyers, Ga. He's not a consistent outside shooter and has a reputation of being a bit turnover prone, but he would fit right into Louisville's up-and-down style and be a great transition companion for Peyton Siva.
