Howes did not have permit for gun, loaded it during incident
How in the world was he released without charges so abruptly? The attorney for Isaiah Howes, the former U of L baseball player, who shot Covington, says Howes did not have a gun permit and that the gun used in the shooting was unloaded in the car. He was questioned about that by Joe Elliott Thursday on Elliott’s 970-am radio show. Bart Adams told Elliott the entire incident lasted a total of five seconds when asked how Isaiah Howes had enough time to load the weapon. Adams also told Elliott that Howes and his half-brother met again with police Thursday, giving more interviews to detectives. Police are calling the case one of self-defense.
