Super early Tuesday Rivalry Week links

Your first Charlie Strong game week press conference. You'll never forget it.

Freshman wide receiver Michaelee Harris is officially out for the season with a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

Also out for the season with knee injuries are tight end Stephon Ball and cornerback Anthony Conner. Offensive lineman Joe Evinger will miss the year because of a back injury.

Nothing official, but rumor has it that sophomore speedster and Card Chronicle fave Jacques Caldwell has left the team. Caldwell had been listed directly behind Doug Beaumont on the depth chart as recently as this weekend, but is now nowhere to be found.

Charlie Strong has done everything a head coach can to not give Kentucky players nothing to get riled up over, but that hasn't stopped UK co-captain DeQuin Evans from trying.

Strong has consistently stated his belief that Louisville's strongest asset is its offensive line. A reasonable assertion given the unit's depth and experience in relation to its counterparts. Evans, a defensive end, has opted to take the comments as a shot "towards us."

"I take that as a slight at the (UK) defensive line, more than anything," Evans said. "We're the guys that have to bang with them up front every play."

Whatever. Go crazy, dude.

Current weather forecast for Saturday: Mainly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s. Zero percent chance of rain.

Thank you, Jesus.

Spread check: Cats by three.

Love hearing the confidence being exhibited by Adam Froman. No U of L player has been a key contributor to a winning Cardinal football team, and I think when that's the case you need to have someone say the types of things that Froman is saying, especially when that someone plays a position as paramount as quarterback.

Froman's confidence and ability to lead are two of his best qualities, and he's playing both well heading into the weekend.

Charlie Springer is wondering if hostility is the reason behind Kentucky fans sending tickets back to Louisville.

Your ABC broadcast crew for Saturday: Dave LaMont and J.C. Pearson.

LaMont AND Pearson? F--k. Yes.

John Clay covers twenty things that were unveiled at today's Kentucky press conference.
