Cardinal Nine Fall In Clearwater to St. John's 5-3

The Cardinal baseball team will not be regular season and conference champions this season, as St. John's pulled the upset 5-3 tonight.  St. John's scored their runs on 14 hits, mostly off starter Bob Revesz, who gave up 4 ER in 4.2 IPs.  St. John's jumped out to a 2-0 lead, and the Cards tied it up in the 5th.  But Revesz couldn't handle the prosperity and gave up 2 more runs in the bottom half of the 5th.  Anthony Mason, Jr. homered like 4 times and pitched 12 scoreless innings.

So now we wait for the seeding and the naming of the sites for the College World Series.  Another year, another trip to Omaha on the line for Louisville's baseball team.  Let's do this.
