U of L third nationally in attendance

Kentucky, Syracuse and Louisville topped the college basketball world in attendance for the 90th straight year, as U of L finished third in the nation despite averaging over 1,000 fans more per game than Freedom Hall is supposed to hold.

The Big East wound up with three schools in the top ten, and finished with 3,138,877 fans attending its teams' games. The mark was the second highest total ever, surpassed only by the league's mark 3,259,922 in 2007.
