Come out, drink some beer, eat some hot dogs and watch as tension over the decision of a 17-year-old basketball player carries onto the baseball diamond...or at least the baseball stands.
From U of L:
The 11th-ranked Louisville baseball team will continue its eight-game homestand at Jim Patterson Stadium on Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET against in-state rival Kentucky.
Admission is $5 per person for the game, which will also be aired live by KOOL 1570 AM. Fans are encouraged to park at Papa John's Cardinals Stadium and use the free shuttle service provided by the University of Louisville for the game. The shuttle, which will pickup from Gate No. 4 at PJCS, will begin at 4:45 p.m., and continue until approximately 6:30 p.m. The shuttle will be available as needed during the game and will continue until 30 minutes after the completion of the game.
Louisville enters Wednesday's game at 32-7 overall after a mid-week win over Western Kentucky last Wednesday and a series win over BIG EAST Conference foe Seton Hall last weekend. Kentucky is 23-17 overall after losing two of three at Auburn last weekend and a mid-week loss at Western Kentucky last Tuesday.
Kentucky blanked U of L 5-0 in Lexington earlier this year, so the Cards will be looking for a fourth-straight series split with their arch-rival.
