KFC Yum! Center To Provide Gorditas, Cardinal Basketball Starting This Fall

It's official.  I loved the idea of "The Bucket" and still hope it catches on:

Louisville’s downtown arena will be called the KFC Yum! Center.

Yum! Brands, which once said it wasn’t interested in the naming rights, has agreed to a $13.5 million, 10-year contract to be the building’s main sponsor, the company and the Louisville Arena Authority announced Monday.

As part of the deal, the Louisville-based restaurant company will have seven concession areas for KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell inside the arena at Second and Main streets, as well as advertising inside and outside the building and the roof.

I cannot wait for a new pre-game meal ritual that will replace my two hot dogs and Pepsi with no ice that worked so well at Freedom Hall.  No word on which smell (salsa, fried chicken or pizza) will replace Freedom Hall's trademark caramel smell.  I think they are giving Teague the right to pick it as an incentive to commit Thursday.
