Meet the newest CC crush: Titus Teague

Zack Stoudt has left the Louisville football program, passing the tradition of the No. 18 jersey on to redshirt freshman cornerback Titus Teague. If it had to go to anyone other than Rock Keys (whose whereabouts are still, to my knowledge, unaccounted for), I'm glad it was Teague. Why? Because his name's Titus Teague. Pretty simple.

Let's take a look at some TT facts:

--Played both running back and cornerback at Pomona High School in California.

--Rushed for 1,032 yards on 132 carries in his senior season.

--Has drawn some solid praise from DB coach Larry Slade this spring.

--His Facebook profile is under the name Titus "Fiasco" Teague.

--Fiasco "hates waking up for school." Don't we all, Fiasco, don't we all.

--Has a younger brother named Taj who is currently being heavily recruited by D-1 schools.

--If Taj Teague commits to Louisville, Taj Teague will become my new favorite player because his name is Taj Teague.

To say this is a big year for the black No. 18 jersey is like saying the scoring system in Family Feud is flawed (only one round matters; figured it out when I was four). The jersey hasn't seen a whole lot of victories since its purchase on that glorious July, 2007 morning, but until now we've been able to chalk this up as fallout from the Krag1N1 epidemic.

If 18 can't deliver with Charlie Strong at the helm and Titus Teague carrying the...flag(?), then an offseason of change and/or jersey funerals may be at hand.

Don't let that happen, Titus.
