Cards re-enter AP Poll, climb in coaches'

After a one-week absence from the Associated Press Top 25, Louisville re-appeared in this week's poll at No. 22. The 10-1 Cards jumped from No. 25 to No. 20 in the coaches' poll.

Louisville's Friday opponent, Lexington College, is 11th in the AP and 12th in the coaches'.

With Connecticut (4), Syracuse (5), Pittsburgh (6), Villanova (8), and Georgetown (9), Big East teams occupy five of the first nine spots in both polls. Half of the members of the 16-team league, which begins play tonight, are undefeated or have just one loss.

Notre Dame also checks in both polls at No. 15.
