Negus Webster-Chan commits to Louisville

Negus Webster-Chan, a versatile 6-7 guard/forward who has matriculated from Canada to Huntington Prep, has committed to play basketball for Rick Pitino at Louisville.

Webster-Chan, the 45th best player in the class of 2012 according to Scout.com, has visited U of L twice this month and received a scholarship offer from Pitino last night. He's advertised as an aggressive wing who can get to the basket with ease, defend the one, two or three, and has a streaky three-point shot.

Despite being highly skilled, consistency has been Webster-Chan's biggest issue, according to Huntington Prep head coach Rob Fulford.

"Negus is very very skilled and has an incredible IQ," Fulford recently told the NBE blog. "He can play and guard the 1, 2 or 3. He’ll be absolutely fantastic for seven possessions in a row and you’ll be like ‘wow’ but then he’ll kind of go away again."

Reminds me of Drake.
