Anthony Mason Jr. and Malik Boothe will play against Louisville

Anthony Mason Jr., the leading scorer for St. John's two seasons ago, will make his season debut on Saturday when the Red Storm faces Louisville. He missed most of last season with a tendon injury in his right foot, and then suffered a hamstring injury last September which he re-aggrevated a month later, delaying the start of his senior year until this weekend.

In his last game against Louisville, a ten-point loss in Jan. of 2007, Mason Jr. scorched the Cards for 29 points. He dropped 19 against U of L the year before.

St. John's will also welcome the return of starting point guard Malik Boothe, who missed the Johnnies' loss to Providence after suffering a groin injury in the first half of the game before against Georgetown. He's averaging just over five points and two assissts a contest.

The game tips at noon on Saturday and will be carried by WHAS.
