The post position selection order for the Derby has been drawn, and Mike Battaglia has set the opening odds.

  5. Pyro, Bridgmohan/Asmussen 6-1
  6. Eight Belles, Saez/Jones 20-1
  7. Anak Nakal, Bejarano/Zito 30-1
  8. Court Vision, Gomez/Mott 20-1

  16. Big Brown, Desormeaux/Dutrow 3-1
  17. Tale of Ekati, Coa/Tagg 15-1

I know the owners and trainers probably like this system a lot more, but I really, really miss the blind draw for post positions. It made the selection show about 40 times more exciting. The only real reason to tune in anymore is to watch Hank Goldberg and count how many times some chotch will pull the fake hanging his silk on post 20 move (don't do it Court Vision rep).

Maybe Rick Dutrow will punch someone or do a line on the stage or something.
