Quick programming note

As you might have guessed, I've spent the last few days doing a lot of searching, both of the soul and the internet variety.

A couple of quick image inquiries early in the week produced some worthy candidates. A chick wearing a Louisville shirt, a stuffed U of L mini-basketball, and an old school image of the Cardinal bird dunking were three of the handful of potential talismans I considered as possible keys to a magical March run. But then, all of the sudden, the whole thing seemed so absurd to me.

Did the Broncos bench John Elway because he didn't win a Super Bowl in his first season? Did UCLA fire John Wooden because he didn't bring home a national title right away? Should we abandon Gyrating Go Cards because he lost a toss-up game against a better-seeded team in his first NCAA Tournament? The answer to all three questions is no.

Fear and panic can make even the most grounded person think irrationally, and our fear and panic over losing consecutive games made us forget all about the fact that GGC is currently riding a five-game winning streak, one that includes key victories over Georgetown and Notre Dame.

The guy has all the tools (ask Reynolds) to take this team on a special run, and I think he proves that starting this evening.
