Cardinal Nine, uh, iced out

Bummer:

Poor weather conditions have postponed Opening Day for the University of Louisville baseball team today.

The Cardinals and Cleveland State will now play a pair of nine-inning games on Saturday beginning at noon at Jim Patterson Stadium.

The same two teams are scheduled to wrap up the three-game set on Sunday at 1 p.m.

2007 Big East Pitcher of the Year Zack Pitts will get the start in game one, while '07 Freshman of the Year Justin Marks will be on the bump in game two.

Admission to all home games is free, so there's no real reason not to come out...unless sitting motionless in 30 degree weather is one of your "pet peeves."
