From Rick Bozich's blog:
From the moment at Big East Media Day last October when U of L coach Rick Pitino said that he expected three players -- Williams, Earl Clark and Derrick Caracter -- to leave for the National Basketball Association after this season, I expected this would be Williams' final year.
"Angel and I are close," Williams said. "She told me that we came in together and that we should go out together. I told her that's only going to happen if you go out next year."
So that means you're not leaving after this season?
"I'm not leaving," Williams said.
Obviously, this is fantastic news. Having a veteran talent like Williams to go with the sophomores that will be back (likely all but Caracter) as well as the incoming freshman class would be enormous. That said, if he wants to leave after making a name for himself during a memorable March run, I would be OK with that. And if he wants to return after making a name for himself during a memorable March run, that would work too.
