Louisville part of college football marathon on ESPN Classic

The four letter network is flipping the script and doing something cool for a change, interrupting the steady flow of poker and late 80's/early 90's boxing programming on ESPN Classic to run a 50-hour college football marathon featuring classic games from each team in the AP Top 25.

U of L's selected game is the '04 Liberty Bowl against Boise State, and will run during the coveted 11 p.m.-1 a.m. time slot on Aug. 29. If you're a glutton for punishment you can also catch the Cards against the Broncos in the '99 Humanitarian Bowl on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m., or in last year's game against Rutgers the next day at 11 a.m., or of course in the '05 West Virginia game which will be making its 119th appearance on national television at 1 p.m. on Aug. 30.

The marathon will begin on Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. with the 1998 Big 12 championship game featuring Texas A&M and Kansas State, and will end two days later at the same time with the 2004 Rose Bowl between USC and Michigan.
