Bush inks deal with Raiders

Former Louisville running back and fourth-round NFL Draft selection Michael Bush signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday.

Though he hasn't taken part in any team drills since being drafted, Raider nation is hopeful that Bush will be able to show significant signs of improvement when training camp starts on Friday.

If he feels well enough and the Raiders coaching staff gives their OK, Bush could compete for playing time immediately as Dominic Rhodes has been suspended for the first four games of the regular season due to a violation of the league's substance abuse policy. LaMont Jordan is the likely starter until Rhodes returns, and Bush will also have former USC standout Justin Fargas to compete with.

Unless something amazing happens he isn't going to make an immediate impact in the league, but I still firmly believe that in no more than three years Michael Bush will be on a roster in every one of our fantasy leagues.

And now, to make you feel even worse about Bush getting ready to start practice on July 27 and not Aug. 6:
