Cards Drop Heartbreaker, Game Three Tomorrow at 4

Really not much to say except that you couldn't have asked for a much better situation. A lead in the ninth inning with your star closer on to clinch the Super Regional and send your team to its first College World Series.

Now we see how well the boys can regroup and realize that a win tomorrow means the same thing a win today would have.

The good news is that Oklahoma State doesn't have an available pitcher who's had much success this season, the bad news is that Louisville has held one of the most potent offenses in the country to three runs in two games and we're still talking about a decisive game three.

Let's hope we see the same Colby Wark who was highly effective in U of L's first win over Mizzou in the Regional, and not the one who didn't retire a batter in the Cards' first meeting with the Tigers.

This is the proverbial "it all comes down to this moment," and we just have to hope that the boys come out and play the same way they did in the same situation six days ago.

I don't think daddy's nerves can take another game like today's, so let's hope that the bats step it up.

Go Cards.
