Louisville Lands Nate Nord

For the fifth time in ten months, Louisville has beaten Miami.

InsideTheVille.com's Michael McCammon is reporting that West Boca Raton High School tight end Nate Nord has chosen Steve Kragthorpe and the Cardinals over the Hurricanes.

The 6'6, 220-pound Nord is billed as a big athlete who ran the 40 in 4.69 and possesses sensational hands. He is listed as a three-star recruit by Scout, but may have been rated higher had he not missed most of his junior season with an injury.

The son of FAU coach Gary Nord and the nephew of U of L assistant Greg Nord, Nate turned heads at the Miami Nike Training Camp in early April where he was praised for his agility and route running. One quarterback at the camp reportedly said Nord reminded him of Jeremy Shockey.

Nord becomes the third player to commit to Louisville this week, joining Carmel, Ind. offensive lineman Ryan Barnes and four-star Ames, IA tight end Ben Cotton.
