As expected, former Louisville center Jonathan Huffman has announced that he intends to follow departing assistant coach Kevin Willard to Iona.
I'm convinced that Huffman will be a solid player for the Gaels, although I'm not sure the transfer was a "huge coup" as Hoops Weiss put it.
The MAAC is one of my favorite conferences, and in spite of their rather infamous season a year ago, Iona is a perennial power in the league. I'll enjoy watching Huffy on ESPNU Friday nights beginning in late 2008.
