Bob Valvano Wants to be Art Carmody

In what could only be described as a Veck-esque PR move, the Louisville Fire will allow Bob Valvano and Will Wofford to suit up for their game against the Alabama Steeldogs on the night of May 19.

Valvano, a color analyst for Louisville basketball games, will attempt to kick an extra point, while Wofford, a former NFL player, will handle long snapping duties.

The two co-host the "Bob and Will Show" on WKRD 790.

The first 1,000 fans at the game will receive a "limited edition" commemorative "Bob & Will" bobblehead to mark the event (dead serious). Additionally, Wolford and Valvano will host practice sessions in Freedom Hall on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 6 to 8, and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. I have no idea what will transpire at these "practice sessions," but I can guarantee that they will be poorly attended.

Card Chronicle was unable to reach the current Fire kicker for a comment, but we can only assume that he is pissed.

If you're headed out to the game be sure to say hello to Flubby, he'll be the guy in the Valvano jersey sitting in the front row.
